What do I actually have to do?
Send us your product list with barcodes and the COAs you have today, however they are organized. From then on, forward the lab's email when a batch comes back, or have the lab copy our inbox. If a match is unclear, you answer one yes-or-no question. That is the whole job on your side. The steps are on the Get set up page.
How long does setup take?
The first week. We match every document to its product, size and batch, host it, and hand back one link per product, the batch search snippet for your site, and a list of what is on file and what appears to be missing. After that, a new report is live within two business days of your email.
I already have a page on my site with my COAs on it.
Keep it. We take the same files, match them to product, size and batch, and put them behind links that survive your next batch. Your page can point at ours, or embed the batch search, or both.
What is a barcode, in this context, and what if a product has more than one size?
The UPC or GTIN printed on the package. It is the key everything hangs on: one barcode, one permanent link. A 4-pack and a single have different barcodes, so they are two products on the record, each with its own link and its own report. That is deliberate. A store or an inspector is holding one or the other.
What happens to the old batch when a new one comes in?
Nothing bad. The new report becomes the current one behind the product's permanent link. The older batch keeps its own link and its own report, findable by the batch number on the package. Nothing is overwritten.
Does rd Relay read or check the lab results themselves?
No. rd Relay keeps the record of which lab results (the Certificate of Analysis, or COA, your lab issues per batch) were current for a given barcode at a given time, plus an access log. The contents of the document, potency, panel results, pass or fail, are the responsibility of the accredited laboratory that issued it. rd Relay does not parse, interpret, or certify lab-results content. It also never says whether a product complies with anything, and never submits anything to a regulator.
What does "a person checks it" mean?
Before a document goes live, someone at rd Relay matches it to the product, size and batch it names and confirms the match. A check on the file itself rejects links to folders, links to viewer pages, and files that are missing pages. If we cannot tell which product a report belongs to, we ask you rather than guess.
Does this work for any state, or any lab?
Any state, any accredited lab, as many labs as you use. The record does not care where a product is sold. What we will not do is tell you what a state requires. We tell you what is on file for each product and size; the requirements are between you and the state.
What does it cost?
A setup fee, then a monthly fee sized to your catalog, quoted after we see your files. Ask on the Get set up page. Stores that carry your products pay nothing and need no account to use a link.
Can I run it myself instead?
Yes. The same record is there to log in to: register products, upload documents, flag recalls. Or hand it to us, which is what the service is for. The door is open either way.
For stores
How do I add the Lab Results link to my product page?
Paste one link. On Shopify the strongest version is a short Liquid snippet in your product template, so your theme renders the link itself and covers your whole catalog. If you would rather not touch the theme, paste the product's permanent link into the description as ordinary link text. Full steps for Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix and the rest are on the embed guide. A Shopify app that installs the link automatically does not exist today; the embed guide is the install.
I scanned a barcode and it says the brand is not on rd Relay.
Then it is not, or it has not published that product yet. Email support@raddadlabs.com with the brand name and we will reach out to them.
What do I get if I connect my store?
Your catalog, grouped by supplier, sorted into products that link to a current lab result and products still waiting on a brand, with each brand named. Your own permits with their expiration dates on the same dashboard. It is free.
For distributors
What does rd Relay do for me?
Permit management. Every account's permits on one board with their expiration dates, alerts at 60, 30, 14, 7, 3 and 1 days before expiry, on the day and after, and a per-account history you can export. Active recalls across the brands you carry sit on the same board. Accounts are set up by request; use the contact form.

What does rd Relay do with my data?
Operational data (barcodes, lab-results documents and links, batches, permits) is used to deliver the service. Public record views are logged with a timestamp and outcome for the brand's access log; we do not store the IP address of anyone who opens a record. We do not parse lab-results contents, and we do not sell or share data with third parties beyond our infrastructure providers. Full text on the privacy policy.
Can I export or delete my data?
In part today. Every dashboard has an Audit log page with an Export CSVbutton that downloads your organization's full activity history. A broader records export or full account deletion is not a self-serve control yet; email privacy@raddadlabs.com and we handle it directly. Timelines are in the privacy policy.
What happens if rd Relay shuts down?
Ninety days written notice, a full export for every account, and every permanent link keeps serving through the notice period. It is written down on the security and continuity page.
Is the record stable enough to put in front of an inspector?
The permanent link and the audit log are the two paths treated as production-critical: append-only logs, a retry that never duplicates a record, and a nightly mirror of hosted documents. Platform status is published at rdrelay.com/status. A documented restore drill is still an open item on our hardening list, and we say so on the security page rather than claim it.
