What rd Relay replaces
A lab-results page on your own site you update by hand. A lab-results spreadsheet shared with every store. A permit spreadsheet nobody updated. A QR code frozen on last year's batch. One shared record per barcode replaces all of it:

FAQ
What is rd Relay?
Lab-results & recall compliance for regulated wellness — one shared record per barcode. A brand publishes each batch's lab results once against a permanent barcode URL on rdrelay.com, and retailers and distributors point their product pages at that URL once. When the brand publishes a new batch, every connected store's link is already current — no re-uploading, no spreadsheet to fix. If a batch is recalled, every connected store gets the notice the same day.
Does rd Relay read or verify the lab results themselves?
No. rd Relay keeps the record of which lab results (the Certificate of Analysis, or COA, your lab issues per batch) were current for a given barcode at a given time, plus an access log. The contents of the document — potency, panel results, pass/fail — are the responsibility of the accredited laboratory that issued it. rd Relay does not parse, interpret, or certify lab-results content.
I scanned a barcode and got "not on file yet." What now?
That barcode hasn't been registered with rd Relay yet — most likely the brand hasn't added it to their dashboard. Check with the brand, or email support@rdrelay.com and we'll reach out to them.
I'm a retailer. How do I add "Lab Results" to my Shopify store?
On Shopify the best version is a short Liquid snippet in your product template — your theme renders the link itself, so it covers your whole catalog and a content blocker cannot hide it. If you would rather not touch the theme, click Copy embed on a product in your Catalog and paste it into a custom-HTML block (a plain text or data field will store the characters without running them). Full steps for Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, and other platforms are on the embed guide. A dedicated rd Relay COA SyncShopify app (install it and the "Lab Results" block auto-attaches, no snippet to paste) is in progress but not yet available.
I'm a brand. How do I publish new lab results?
From the brand portal, go to Products → Scan on your phone. Scan the unit's barcode, then either paste the lab-results URL from your lab portal or drop a PDF directly. The new batch becomes current immediately. Every Shopify storefront, printed QR code, and badge (our embeddable verification widget) that was already pointing at that barcode now resolves to the new document — without any retailer action.
Where do I find the lab-results URL my lab gave me?
Most accredited labs host every batch at a per-sample URL. Sign in to the lab's portal, find the batch, and copy the share link. From the brand portal's scan flow, if you set a coa_hub_url on your settings page, we'll surface a one-tap deep link to your lab's portal on every match card.
I'm a distributor. What does rd Relay do for me?
Permit management. The distributor portal tracks each retailer's ATC, LDH (Louisiana Department of Health), and resale-cert status, with escalating renewal alerts from 60 days out through expiration and a distributor-side audit log for inspection windows. Lab results themselves stay between the brand and the retailer.
What does it cost?
Retailers are free forever for the basic Lab Results link. Distributor and Brand tiers run monthly, with a published barcode ladder (per-barcode pricing tiers) for brands. Full breakdown on the pricing page.
What does rd Relay do with my data?
Operational data (barcodes, lab-results URLs, batches, permits) is used to deliver the service. Access logs power the brand-side analytics dashboard and the audit trail — we record timestamp, retailer domain, barcode queried, and a hash of the requesting IP. We do not store raw IPs, do not parse lab-results contents, and do not sell or share data with third parties beyond our infrastructure providers. Full text on the privacy policy.
Can I export or delete my data?
In part today. Every dashboard has an Audit log page with an Export CSVbutton that downloads your organization's full activity history — that's the self-serve export available right now. A broader records export or full account deletion isn't a self-serve dashboard control yet; email privacy@rdrelay.com and we handle it directly. Is the service stable enough to put in front of inspectors?
The Lab Results link and the audit log are the two paths rd Relay treats as production-critical. Both are built so a retry never duplicates or corrupts a record, with append-only logs and a daily storage backup for hosted PDFs — the underlying record survives a service outage even if a page is briefly unreachable. Your audit log, with CSV export, is the durable record available today; email privacy@rdrelay.com if you need help packaging it for an inspection.
I'm a lab. Can I publish lab results to rd Relay directly?
Lab-direct intake (your LIMS — lab information management system — posts to an rd Relay webhook on sample-complete, no brand-side work) is in active design. If you're an accredited lab and want to be a pilot, write to support@rdrelay.com and tell us which LIMS you run.
